We welcome new graduate student, David Shea, to the group!
Congratulations to Melanie Lee, who successfully defended her MS thesis!
Jiaqi Zhu presented his azatriene reductive coupling research at the SERMACS meeting in Puerto Rico.
The group received a competitive R35 MIRA Award from NIH to continue our research in umpolung synthesis of chiral amines through catalysis and synthesis of other nitrogen-containing compounds!
Today we say goodbye to our amazing postdoc colleague, Dr. Pengfei Zhou! It has been a wonderful three years having him in the group, and we wish him all the best for the next stage of his career.
Today is Chibueze Onyeagusi’s last day in the lab. It’s been an amazing five years. He will be missed but we all wish him well as he begins his career as a Senior Scientist in the Merck Process Chemistry group in Rahway this July. Good luck, Chibueze!
Congratulations to Xiaoxiao Ma for passing his prelim exam!
Congratulations to Dr. Chibueze Onyeagusi on the successful defense of his Ph.D. Great work!
Congratulations to Jiaqi Zhu for passing his prelim exam!
Congratulations to Dr. Pengfei Zhou and our former postdoc, Prof. Xinxin Shao. Their paper where they have developed a new reagent, 2-azatrienes, for the catalytic enantioselective and diastereodivergent synthesis of allylic diamines has been accepted at JACS. Nice work!!
