Congratulations to Nathan, Sangjune, and Pengfei! Their paper on the catalytic enantioselective formation of quaternary centers by diene hydroalkylation was accepted at Organic Letters. The diene-malononitrile couplings enable a two-step protocol for preparing challenging alpha-vinyl carbonyl motifs.
