Nathan Adamson received an NIH Ruth L. Kirschstein Postdoctoral Fellowship (NRSA) to begin his studies with Prof. Neil Garg at UCLA. Congratulations, Nathan!
Congratulations to Nathan Adamson for the successful defense of his Ph.D. dissertation. Awesome job, Nathan!
Congratulations to our former postdoc, Dr. Gus Logan, for his recent Chem. Commmun. publication in collaboration with the Theis and Warren labs. This work illustrates that, compared to the traditional Ir-IMes catalyst for SABRE, an Ir-PHOX catalyst allows for hyperpolarization … Read More
Congratulations to Nathan, Sangjune, and Pengfei! Their paper on the catalytic enantioselective formation of quaternary centers by diene hydroalkylation was accepted at Organic Letters. The diene-malononitrile couplings enable a two-step protocol for preparing challenging alpha-vinyl carbonyl motifs.
Congratulations to Chibueze and Xinxin! Their paper on Pd-catalyzed diastereo- and enantioselective additions of trifluoromethyl-substituted azadienolates to dienes for the preparation of homoallylic amines has been accepted at Organic Letters.
Nathan’s Perspective article on catalytic nucleophilic and enantioselective hydrofunctionalization of dienes was accepted at ACS Catalysis. Congratulations, Nathan!
We welcome two first-year graduate students as members of the lab. Welcome Xiaoxiao Ma and Jiaqi Zhu!
Chibueze delivered an outstanding oral presentation of his azadiene fluoroarylation work at SERMACS in Savannah, GA. Great job, Chibueze!
Dr. Xinxin Shao finishes his postdoctoral studies in our group. After 2.5 amazingly productive years, he is headed back to China where he will begin his professorship at Zhejiang University of Technology. Congratulations, Xinxin, and best of luck for all … Read More
